The AWCCA 2014 General Assembly Meeting was held in Shanghai on the morning of Sep. 22^th 2014.

By convention, chairmen and presidents from different cable and wire associations of mainland China, Taiwan, Malaysia, Indonesia, and Vietnam Cable & Wire Association attended the meeting. Chairmen group reviewed the work in 2013 - 2014, discussed the 2015 working plan, and elect for the new Chairman, Secretary General for AWCCA for 2015 - 2016 term (New Organization Chart see below).

On the afternoon of Sept. 22th, CEEIA-ECWB (Wire & Cable Branch of China Electrical Equipment Industry Assoc.) hosted a half-day seminar. Mr. Mark An, the Marketing Director from TICW (China National Centre For Quality Supervision & Test of Electric Wire & Cable), together with Dr. Xu Xiaofeng, Deputy Director from R&D department of SECRI, presented on topics of “Product testing capacity” and “The introduction of EMTC (Machinery Industry Quality Supervision and Test Center For Electrical Material and Special Wire & Cable).”

After the meeting, Chairmen group agreed that AWCCA will carry out work around the following aspects in 2015:

1.Develop 3 guidance documents on Winder power cable / Photovoltaic cable / Submarine cable.

2.Continue to expand AWCCA members by lobbying Korean C&W Assoc, and leading manufactures from Thailand.

3.Maintain AWCCA website and monthly news clipping.

4.Follow up with MCMA & HECA for previous proposed training program.

5.Study tour between AWCCA Founder Members to enhance information exchange and experience sharing.
